You shape a compact sphere of magically reinforced clay and hurl it at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the clay detonates in a concussive blast, dealing 1d10+Int modifier force damage to the target.
Blast Wave. When the bomb detonates, all creatures (other than the target) within 10 feet of it must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 16) take the full amount that was done on the original target On a failed save, on a successful save they take force damage equal to half the damage dealt to the primary target.
C4 Charge up to your Int. modifier. Instead of detonating immediately, you may choose to have the bomb adhere to the target or a solid surface. The bomb remains for up to 1 minute in combat. As a bonus action on your turn, you can magically trigger all undetonated clay bombs you’ve placed. When detonated this way, the blast deals 1d12+Int modifier force damage to the stuck target, and all creatures within 15 feet of it take half as much on a failed Dexterity saving throw (DC 17), or none on a success.
At Higher Levels. The spell creates more than one clay bomb when you reach higher levels: two bombs at 5th level, three bombs at 11th level, and four bombs at 17th level. You can direct bombs at the same or different targets.
