You conjure a portal linking an unoccupied space you can see within range. The portal goes to a random location on same plane of existence, but goes through a random transition plane first and the second opening is a random distance and direction from the entry opening. The portal is an oval opening, which you can make 5 to 20 feet in diameter. You can orient the portal in any direction you choose. The portal increases in size until it reaches the maximum size for a 1d8 number of days, then it begins to shrink for the same number of days until it closes. The portal has a front and a back on each plane where it appears. Travel through the portal is possible only by moving through its front. The transition is gradual, so one may peer into the transition plane from either opening and retreat or advance as desired.
