Holding out a vial of holy water with a diamond submerged inside, you utter a sacred phrase. The water evaporates, and a brilliant ray of radiant energy erupts from the diamond in a direction you choose. The ray forms a line 60 feet long and 10 feet wide.
Each creature in the line must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 6d8 radiant damage and is blinded for 1 minute. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and is not blinded. Fiends and undead make this saving throw with disadvantage.
A blinded creature can repeat the Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 radiant damage and the ray’s length increases by 10 feet for each slot level above 5th.
