Roll 1d4. A 5-foot-diameter sphere appears in an unoccupied space of your choice within range and lasts for the duration. On a 1, it is a sphere of primarily Fire; on a 2, it is a sphere of primarily Cold; on a 3, it is a sphere of primarily Lightning; on a 4, it is a sphere of primarily Acid. Any creature that ends its turn within 5 feet of the sphere must make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes 2d6 damage of the type corresponding to the sphere's type on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

As a bonus action, you can move the sphere up to 30 feet. If you ram the sphere into a creature, that creature must make the saving throw against the sphere's damage, and the sphere stops moving this turn.

When you move the sphere, you can direct it over barriers up to 5 feet tall and jump it across pits up to 10 feet wide.

The sphere ignites flammable objects not being worn or carried; flammable objects being worn or carried are ignited if the wearer/carrier fails a Constitution save, DC 5; objects currently on fire are extinguished on contact with the sphere. The sphere extinguishes flames it comes into contact with if those flames were not caused by the sphere this turn. The sphere sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. If the sphere comes into contact with a body of water or a liquid that is principally water (not including water-based creatures), it freezes the liquid to a depth of 3 inches over a circular area 10 feet in diameter; it also deals 1d4 Lightning damage to each creature in that same circular area. Creatures within 15 feet of the sphere have disadvantage on Wisdom checks made to listen.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
