For the duration of the spell, the aurora sheds dim light within a 40-foot radius of you. The aurora emits a soft mystical sound of icicles clinking and ringing like bells in the wind, layered with a crystalline hum. You can dismiss or recast the spell with an action.
For the duration of the spell, as an action or as part of the initial casting of the spell, you can concentrate the aurora into a bolt of energy to throw at a target within 60 feet of you. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 cold damage. This ends the spell.
Cantrip Upgrade. The damage increases by 1d8 when you reach levels 5 (2d8), 11 (3d8), and 17 (4d8).
