When an enemy swings and misses, you feel the guidance of your old friend Bill-Boy in your heart and swirl ale, luck, and wild magic into a staggering hex. The air smells faintly of spirit.

Make a ranged spell attack against the creature. On a hit, it takes 2d8 psychic damage as its senses cloud. The target must also succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or suffer the following effects until the end of its next turn:

  • It has disadvantage on all attack rolls.

  • Its movement is halved as it staggers, like a drunkard.

At Higher Levels. When you reach 5th level, the damage increases to 3d8, and at 11th level to 4d8.

Special. You can cast this spell once per short or long rest without expending a spell slot. Additional castings require a 2nd-level or higher spell slot.

Bill-Boy Tumblefoot, the humble yet cranky operator of the Tilt-A-Whirl, apparently hid many secrets during his time at the Witchlight Carnival.

* - when a creature misses you with a melee or ranged attack
