Animate Sword

You bring a deadly consciousness into a non-magical blade that you touch, animating it as Flying Sword. You can issue verbal commands to the sword on your turn (no action required), and the sword will understand you, performing your requested action to the best of its ability. If it receives no commands, the sword defends itself from attacks, but otherwise takes no actions. No matter the spell level cast, if the Flying Sword is killed, the spell ends.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a slot of 3rd level or higher, the duration increases to 1 week. When cast using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the duration increases to 1 month. When cast using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the duration is indefinite (until dispelled).
