You conjure forth Unstable Magical creations which quickly become destructive when provoked. 9 Unstable orbs are placed within 150 feet of you. Each orb must be within 10 feet of at least one other orb. The orbs detonate, dealing 3d6 Sonic and an Additional 3d6 of your choice of bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing in a five-foot circle, as well as knocking back all hit targets 20 feet and creating a loud sound equivalent to the sound of a large metal object falling onto concrete that can be heard by all creatures within 500 feet of the orb.

The orbs detonate when

  • A creature of tiny or larger size walks into or out of being 5 feet away from the orb
  • A sufficiently loud noise equivalent to the sound of fireworks going off
  • An orb has detonated within 5 feet of the orb
  • The orb is struck with an attack or damaged in any way
  • The orb is physically touched by an object or creature more massive (as in weight) than a towel

The orbs do not detonate automatically if summoned within 5 feet of a creature, but will detonate if the creature moves. Orbs can damage the same creature multiple times, but only once per round. (so you can't just stack every orb on a creature to nuke it when it moves)

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 3. (boring option)
