You attempt to sunder a creature's defenses against a specific elemental type until the end of your next turn. Choose a damage type from the following: acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, thunder, radiant, necrotic and target a single creature within range. The creature must pass a WIS saving throw, or suffer the spell's effects. When a creature fails the saving throw, spells dealing damage of the chosen type roll maximum damage on all damage dice. The effect ends once a leveled spell has triggered the effect or at the end of the caster's next turn.
When a non-spell effect deals damage of the chosen type to the target, you may choose to treat it as if it was a leveled spell.
At Higher levels: When cast with a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the spell's effect lasts until one extra spell has triggered it's effect for each spell slot level above 3rd.
