Any creature killed by this spell either explodes or melts, their flammable belongings destroyed, any object that can melt does (if held by the target creature).
When using a 9th level spell slot:
Roll a D20 without modifyers and take damage equal to your level (or CR if casted by an NPC), this spell cannot be used until the next long rest, attempting this spell again results in all effects being moved down the list (2-5 has the result of a 1, 6-10 results in a 2-5, etc.) A 1 now explodes the caster immediately, same effects as a 20.
1: The caster takes 4d4 force damage as their blood boils
2-5: The caster feels their entire body warm up significantly, no damage
6-10: The target creature takes 4d4 force damage, unless it has no blood
11-15: The target creature takes 10d4 force damage, they are incapacitated until their next turn
16-19: The target creature takes 10d4 force damage and loses control of two limbs, permanently
20: The target creature explodes, every creature within (see chart) takes 1d20 + 5 heat damage as the boiling blood and flesh burns them
Chart: [tiny: 5ft, small: 10ft, medium: 20ft, huge: 30ft, gargantuan: 60ft] (Chart can be adjusted according to the affected creature's size)
When using any other spell slot:
Roll a D20 without modifyers, take damage equal to half your remaining HP, rounded up. Casting this spell with one HP remaining is fatal.
1: Caster immolates
2-10: The air within [5 * spell level (1 if cantrip)] of the target becomes unbearably hot, every creature within that distance takes [spell level]D4 heat damage
11-19: If the target creature has blood, deal [spell level]D4 heat damage to it
20: The target creature takes [spell level]D4 force damage and is incapacitated until its next turn
