An ancient failed attempt to create an illusory spell to confuse the enemy. It ended up becoming a destructive magic.

The original idea was to create mirrors that would follow the enemy, making them unable to see the target in front of them and causing them to move in a false direction. However, at that time, it was impossible to create a spell that would follow the enemy without making contact with them, so the mirrors appeared inside the enemy and did not separate their vision, but rather separated the enemy themselves. The mirrors act as portals attached to separate parts of the body, and when the mirrors move, each mirror moves in a different direction, but the opponent remains alive, even though their body may be divided into multiple parts and separated from each other.

The body is still in one place, but the mirrors/portals move and parts of body also moving.
Although the spell seems to be successful because it performs its function and the enemy cannot reach you, but an hour after the spell is cast, the mirrors disappear and all the body parts remain in the places where they were transferred, thus cutting the body into several parts and leaving them at a considerable distance from each other. The spell is considered very cruel and is banned by most schools of magic, but especially cruel mages still use it.

Despite the danger, this spell can be survived by simply staying in one place and not moving for an hour, which is quite difficult if you don't have a party.
