The creature takes 8d6 necrotic damage and must make a Constitution saving through or collapse from maddening necrotic energy flowing through their head. You gain a number of hit points equal to half damage dealt. At the beginning of each of their turns, they take 4d6 necrotic damage and 2d6 psychic damage. They lose their actions on their turn. At the end of each of their turns, they can attempt to end the spell, making a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the spell continues. On a successful one, they regain the ability to act and are prone.
No resistances or immunities can affect the damage done by this spell.
At Higher Levels: If you cast this spell at eighth level, then the damage increases by 2d6 for the initial damage. If you cast this spell at ninth level, then the damage increases by 2d6 for all damages and you gain a number of hitpoints equal to the entire amount of the initial damage dealt.
