Viridian Bolt

You conjure a high-velocity spine of hardened vines and toxic petals and hurl it at a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 3d6 poison damage and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn as numbing venom spreads through its limbs.

On a miss, the bolt bursts into virulent pollen and the target takes half as much damage.

**At Higher Levels.** When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
