Grabbing onto an object or creature, you magically send slashes across their body at the point of contact, dealing 3d12 Slashing Damage on a successful hit.
If you target an object, you automatically succeed in hitting said object unless the object is made of magical materials, or if the object is protected by a magical effect, then you must roll normally. When destroying an object in this manner, you may create a 5ft diameter circular hole to allow access through a wall or door.
When casting this spell, you have the option to add a verbal component. Upon doing so, if the target is hit by the spell initially, the target must make a Constitution Saving Throw or begin bleeding, in which the target suffers 2d6 damage every turn until the target uses an action to stem the bleeding, or is healed by any means. Otherwise, the effect lasts for 1 minute.
When casting Cleave at any Spell Level higher than 2nd, you add 1d12 slashing damage for every additional Spell Level.
