From the spell book of the mighty Chronobopolis of Vedby Trent. You draw arcane sigils into an area up to 100ft in diameter, preparing a chronomancy ritual to view the place as it was at a certain moment in history. You may peer back into the past up to 12 months, but this length can be extended by casting the spell at a higher level. In order for the spell to work an uncommon magic item must be sacrificed to power the spell's fragile magic.
After casting this spell for 10 minutes, you enter a trance like state, gaining the incapacitated condition and appearing in the area as it was within your mind. You are unable to manipulate the image, but you may freely move around and your presence cannot be detected regardless of actions for up to 1 minute.
Each subsequent round after the first will strain the caster's mind, forcing them to make a saving throw using their spellcasting modifier at DC 6. The DC increases by 2 for each round the caster remains in the image.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 5th level spell slot or higher, the length of time in the past that can be accessed increases by a factor of 12. For example, casting at 5th level will allow for a time up to 144 months (or 12 years) in the past to be accessed.
