Firing sends out a streak of neon pink and green light at the target. The target must make a wisdom saving throw against the casters spell save DC. Upon failing, the target takes 1d8 damage and suffers one of three voodoo curses. on a successful save the target only takes half as much damage.

  • Curse of Dread. Instill a sense of dread and despair in the target giving them the Frightened condition till the end of its next turn. At the start of each of its turns, the target can make another saving throw to end the frightened condition
  • Curse of Sap. Steal the targets strength and vitality for yourself. Add 1d8 of temporary hit points to yourself.
  • Curse of The Voodoo Doll. Connect your soul to the targets, forcing it to take a part of any damage dealt to you. when you take damage, subtract your proficiency bonus and deal an amount of damage equal to your proficiency bonus to a target affected by this spell. This affect happens instantaneously and lasts until the end of the targets next turn.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The initial damage increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 1. Curse of Dread will last 1 round longer for every spell slot level above 1, it will still make a saving throw at the start of each turn to end the condition.
