On a failure, a creature takes 2d8 bludgeoning damage and, if the creature fails the saving throw by 5 or more, the creature is knocked prone. On a success, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t knocked prone.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd
