You reach into the weave of magic, drawing the energy from a foe’s spell into yourself. The triggering creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the spell they cast is absorbed and negated, dealing 6d10 force damage to the target. You regain spell slot levels equal to the level of the spell plus 1d4, and regain hit points equal to twice the level of the absorbed spell × your spellcasting modifier. In addition, you drain a number of the target’s spell slot levels equal to the absorbed spell’s level. If this reduces the target to 0 total spell slots, they permanently lose the ability to cast spells. On a successful save, the spell is cast normally, but the target takes half damage, and you regain only half the spell slot levels and healing.

At Higher Levels. When cast using a spell slot higher than 5th, the force damage increases by 1d10 per slot above 5th, the number of spell slot levels drained increases by 1d4 per slot above 5th, and the healing scales proportionally.
