You summon a minor, insubstantial spirit (or spirits) within range that lasts for the duration. The illusion ends if you cast this spell again.
If a creature takes a Study action to examine the sound or image, the creature can determine that it is an illusion with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the illusion becomes faint to the creature.
The spirits take the form of a medium or smaller creature, and glow in faint hues of colour. These spirits are insubstantial and cannot physically interact with the world around them. They can move independently, or in a manner decided by the spellcaster. As a bonus action, the caster can move the illusion anywhere within the spell's area of effect. The illusion breaks if the spirits move through a solid object, appearing to disappear in a puff of mist the same colour as the spirit.
The spirits emit Dim Light within the area they inhabit.
