You attempt to unravel the supernatural bindings of a curse on a creature or object. If the curse has a specific end condition the spell reveals the method or condition necessary to end the curse. The curse remains in effect until that condition is fulfilled.

If there is no end condition, the end condition has been met or as part of the end condition you cast this spell, the target curse affecting one creature or object ends. If the object is a cursed magic item, its curse remains, but the spell breaks its owner’s attunement to the object so it can be removed or discarded.

The following is a list of generalized curse ending rituals that can be used at DMs discretion to further define the Remove Curse Ritual:

1. Death of a Caster, The caster of the curse must be killed in order for the curse to be removed.
2. True Act of __, The cursed must experience or perform a genuine act of the emotion specified.
3. Ritual of Questing, The cursed must accomplish a specific task or quest tied to the nature of the curse.
4. Ritual of Sacrifice, The cursed must present a meaningful offering, gift, or sacrifice to the person, entity or place connected to the curse.
5. Ritual of Knowledge, The cursed must uncover a hidden truth, secret, or a piece of knowledge relevant to the curse or its origin.
6. Ritual of Redemption, The cursed must redeem themselves in the eyes of the caster, entity or place connected to the curse.
7. Ritual of Transformation, The cursed must undergo a Transformation, physical or spiritual. A realization of an important truth about themselves, or a tangible shape shift.
8. Ritual of Alignment, The curse can only be lifted by performing a particular ritual at a particular location or during a specific event.
9. Ritual of Divinity, The curse can only be lifted by Divine touch.
10. Ritual of Death, The curse can only be lifted if the cursed is dead.
