You and up to five willing creatures link hands, forming a circle. For the duration, you create a powerful empathic bond between all participants, a shared consciousness of sensation and emotion.
While the spell is active, participants are aware of the following:
- Emotional State: You can feel the general emotional state of the other participants—such as fear, anger, calm, or affection—as a subtle, constant presence in the back of your mind. You do not gain specific details or reasons for their emotions.
- Physical Sensation: When a participant experiences a strong physical sensation—such as the pain from a wound, the warmth of a fire, or the exhilaration of a sprint—all other participants experience a faint, ghostly echo of that sensation. This echo is not strong enough to cause harm or provide any mechanical benefit or penalty, but it is immersive and undeniable.
- Shared Language: Participants can communicate with each other telepathically, but only to convey emotions, sensory impressions, and simple concepts. Complex sentences and detailed information cannot be shared this way. It is a language of pure feeling.
Empathic Healing: At any point during the spell's duration, a participant can use their action to draw strength from the bond. When they do so, they can channel the collective resilience of the group to temporarily mend their body. The target regains 2d8 hit points. Once this feature is used by any participant, it cannot be used again by any participant until the next dawn.
Vulnerability: The bond is a two-way street. If one participant is targeted by a spell or effect that attacks their mind (such as Command or Fear), all other participants must make a Wisdom saving throw against the spell's save DC. On a failed save, they suffer the same effect as the primary target. On a successful save, they are unaffected.
