Releases a wave of magical fire emanating from you in a sphere, burning nearby enemies and causing the flames to grow in intensity. The flames then return and envelop you in a swirling shield of fire that mimics the outline of your body. This shield reacts to protect the you, transmuting the flames into a barrier of pure force when struck, but losing some of the fires energy. Enemies caught by the flames must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, enemies take 1d6 fire damage, and suffer no damage on a successful save. Creatures that touch the flaming shield take 1d6 fire damage.
For each enemy that takes damage from this spells initial cast, you gain 1 bonus armour class while the shield persists. Each time you are attacked, you lose 1 bonus armour class, as the energy of the shield is sapped. The shield burns so hotly that it also damages you; on your next turn after casting, and each subsequent turn after that until the spell ends, you take 6 fire damage.
