You must have a scroll or spellbook on hand to cast Anyspell. During this spell's casting time, you can scan the spells available to read and prepare.
After you finish casting this spell, choose a spell from the wizard spell list of either 1st or 2nd level. You immediately add the spell to your currently prepared or known spell list until you take a long rest. If you cast Anyspell using a spellbook, you can only choose a wizard spell from the spellbook and the book is unharmed. If you cast Anyspell using a spell scroll, then you may choose any wizard spell, and the scroll is consumed as part of casting this spell.
When you cast the chosen spell, you follow the normal rules for casting that spell except when you cast it using a spell slot, you must expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher. Additionally, if the spell has a costly material component or is consumed, you must provide it. If you cast this spell again, you replace your currently prepared or known spell with a different spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level, choose a spell from the wizard spell list up to 5th level, and you must expend a spell slot of 6th level or higher when casting it.
