Choose one creature you can see within range of 60 ft. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or its mind fractures into two opposing personalities for the duration.
At the start of each of the target’s turns, roll a d6. On a 1–3, the creature acts according to its dominant personality. On a 4–6, it acts according to a conflicting personality imposed by the spell. The conflicting personality always seeks to oppose the creature’s immediate goals but cannot force it to directly harm itself.
The creature remains aware of its actions but experiences them as internal conflict.
The spell ends early if the creature succeeds on two saving throws at the end of its turns.
This spell does not affect creatures immune to charm.
