Cast as a Reaction when targeted by an attack or spell.
Consumes one petrified or preserved leaf.
Can hit targets up to 30ft away.
Broken Arrow does magical (piercing) damage
The leaf splits into shards equal to the casters player level. Each shard can choose a different target, or stack on whatever targets are in range.
Stacking shards will increase their chance to hit, but give a flat damage. Example: A creature is almost dead but goes to take a bite out of a level 5 player that has 1 hit point left. Sensing danger, the player reacts before the creature rolls it's attack. The petrified leaf on his necklace splits into shards and the player rolls his attack. He adds his spell to hit modifier but adds an additional +5 to hit because 5 shards are targeting one creature. The player does 2 damage for every shard. 5 shards equal 10 damage. The player then also adds their spell damage modifier. If cast at 2nd level the shards do 3 damage each, so 5 shards equal 15 damage.
1d4 magical (piercing) damage per shard, # of shards = to player level.
Stacked shards only do 1 magical (piercing) damage + the level cast. Level 1 stacked shards = 2 damage. Level 2 stacked shards = 3 damage.

Posted Dec 1, 2019The best defense is a good offense. This spell helps rangers and druids at early levels. Great for crowd control and pre-emptive strikes.
