Creation

Using water, will, and ice, you create an exact replica of a nonmagical object you can see or have intimate knowledge of. The object is formed entirely of magically hardened ice and must fit within a 5-foot cube. The replica appears complete and functional, but it does not replicate any magical properties, special materials, or superior craftsmanship of the original.

When you cast the spell, roll a d12 to determine the spell’s duration in minutes. The ice construct is vulnerable to heat and fire; exposure to significant heat or any fire damage immediately ends the spell as the object shatters.

If the replicated object is used (such as attacking with a weapon, wearing armor to block damage, turning a key, or applying a tool for its intended purpose), the user must immediately make a saving throw against your spell save DC, using an ability appropriate to the object’s use (typically Strength or Dexterity, at the DM’s discretion). On a success, the object functions normally. On a failure, the object completes that use but then shatters, ending the spell.

Weapons, armor, and other combat-relevant objects created by this spell function only as mundane versions of those items and cannot benefit from special materials, bonuses, or properties. The ice object is fragile and cannot be used to deal extra damage beyond its normal form.

When the spell ends, the object sublimates into harmless frost and meltwater.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The Cube increases by 5 feet for each spell slot level above 1.
