A virulent fungus quickly sprouts at a point on the ground that you can see within range and quickly releases a malevolent cloud of spores in a 5 foot diameter, 10 foot high cylinder that last for one minute or until dispersed by a moderate wind (at least 10 miles per hour). The first time a creature enters the area on a turn or ends its turn there, the creature makes a Constitution saving throw, taking 4d6 Poison damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature makes this save only once per turn. Creatures that don't need to breathe are immune to the effects of this spell.
On your later turns, as a bonus action, you may cause a new virulent fungus to sprout within range. The areas of multiple fungi may not overlap.
When you cast this using a spell slot above 2nd, the damage of Virulent Fungi increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 2nd.
