You concentrate cursed energy into a single, instantaneous distortion of space. As a bonus action, you prepare the next melee weapon attack you make before the end of your turn to erupt with spatial force. On a hit, the attack deals an extra 3d8 force damage. If you have advantage on the attack roll or score a critical hit, the extra damage instead becomes 6d8 force damage. The extra damage ignores resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. If the attack deals the 6d8 damage, you cannot use this spell again until you finish a short or long rest.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the base extra damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd (the “perfect” 6d8 increase scales by 2d8 per slot above 2nd).
