You invoke the ancient covenant between mortal will and draconic flame, conjuring a 10-foot-radius sphere of roiling crimson-gold fire at a point you can see within range. The flames burn with unnatural intensity, fed not only by heat but by arcane force.
When the sphere appears, creatures of your choice inside it must make a Dexterity saving throw.
-
On a failure: 7d6 fire damage.
-
On a success: Half as much damage.
The flames shed bright light for 30 feet and dim light for another 30. The area inside the sphere is difficult terrain as heat warps the air and scorches the ground.
Arcane Conflagration
At the start of each of your turns while concentrating, you may choose one of the following manifestations:
Red Dominion — Scorch the World
The sphere expands to a 15-foot radius until the start of your next turn.
Creatures that enter the area for the first time on a turn or end their turn there take 3d6 fire damage.
Objects not being worn or carried ignite automatically.
Bronze Temperance — Shaped Inferno
The sphere contracts to a 5-foot radius, and you may move it up to 30 feet.
When you move it, you may exclude any number of creatures from its effects this turn.
Additionally, choose one creature inside the sphere. It must make a Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 fire damage and be Blinded by searing arcane embers until the start of its next turn.
Heir of the Crucible (Draconic Overchannel)
If cast using a 7th-level spell slot or higher, you may activate both Red Dominion and Bronze Temperance on the same turn. After doing so, you take 2d6 fire damage that ignores resistance and immunity, as the flame feeds on you as well.
