You awaken the primordial memory of dragonfire — not merely flame, but the first fire that shaped mountains and ended ages.
A colossal draconic silhouette of living inferno rises behind you, towering 40 feet high, its wings outstretched in blazing majesty. For the duration, you are wreathed in sovereign fire and gain the following benefits:
Draconic Apotheosis
-
You gain immunity to fire damage.
-
You gain resistance to all other damage.
-
You shed bright light in a 60-foot radius.
-
Creatures of your choice that start their turn within 20 feet of you take 4d10 fire damage.
Breath of the Ancient Pyre (Recharge 5–6)
As an action, you exhale a 90-foot cone of catastrophic dragonfire.
Creatures in the cone must make a Dexterity saving throw.
-
On a failure: 20d6 fire damage.
-
On a success: Half as much.
Creatures reduced to 0 HP by this breath are reduced to ash, leaving behind only nonmagical equipment.
Sovereign Verdict (1/Duration)
Once before the spell ends, you may point to a creature you can see within 60 feet and pronounce draconic judgment.
The target must make a Constitution saving throw.
-
On a failure: It takes 15d10 fire damage, and if it dies within 1 minute, its body erupts into a pillar of flame, dealing 6d6 fire damage to creatures within 10 feet.
-
On a success: It takes half damage and is not marked.
If the marked creature survives the minute, it remains branded with a faint ember sigil visible only to dragons and you.
Cost of the Crown
When the spell ends, you suffer:
-
One level of exhaustion
-
You cannot cast spells of 6th level or higher until you complete a long rest
The fire leaves you… but it does not leave you unchanged.
* - (A flawless ruby worth at least 5,000 gp, which is consumed)
