You open your perception to AO’s fragmented omniscience, seeing magic not as mortals classify it, but through its origin and purpose.
For the duration, you sense magical auras within 30 feet of you. For each aura, you instinctively understand:
• Its origin: arcane, divine, primordial, feywild, or aberrant
• Its general function: harmful, protective, transformative, binding, illusory, restorative, or controlling
You do not learn spell names, spell level, caster identity, creature type, or specific mechanical effects.
If multiple magical sources overlap, you perceive each aura separately.
Residual Imprints
You can perceive lingering magical traces left behind within the last 24 hours. You sense whether the residual energy is:
• current
• recent
• fading
• ancient
This impression does not reveal the exact spell cast or its level.
Magical Distortion
While AO’s Sight persists:
• You sense the presence and location of invisible creatures or objects within 30 feet as distortions in magical aura. They remain unseen; attack rules against invisible creatures apply normally.
• You sense the presence and general location of magical traps, glamours, disguises, illusions, glyphs, sigils, and extradimensional openings within range.
• You do not automatically learn how these effects function. Interacting with them still requires actions and appropriate ability checks.
Structure of Magic
Magic appears to you in distinct visual patterns:
• geometric lattices for arcane
• radiant symmetry for divine
• fluid currents for primordial
• shifting brilliance for fey
• warped and fractured geometry for aberrant
These impressions provide interpretive clarity but grant no mechanical bonuses.
Crimson Manifestation
While you maintain this spell, your presence registers as aberrant to any effect capable of perceiving magical origin.
Your silver eyes glow faintly red, or the crimson shard within you pulses visibly with restrained resonance.
Only you perceive the full depth of these auras unless you choose to describe them aloud.
