When you cast this spell, you cause a sudden illusion of your twisted visage to appear in front of a creature within range accompanied by a calamitous exclamation. You can repeat this as a bonus action on each of your turns while the spell lasts. A creature affected by this spell must make a Wisdom saving throw or be startled by the sudden appearance of the illusion. On a failure, a creature takes 2d4 psychic damage and has disadvantage on the first attack roll they make on their turn. On a success a creature takes no damage and suffers no disadvantage.
Creatures that can't be frightened are immune to this spell.
At Higher Levels: When cast at 3rd level or higher, a creature takes an additional 1d4 psychic damage from the initial casting for each level above 2nd.
