You touch the material component needed for this spell. Until the spell ends, the magic item sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. The light can be colored as you like. Completely covering the object with something opaque that is thick enough blocks the light. When you cast this spell again using the same item, the spell ends.
