3rd-level conjuration
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self (15-foot radius)
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You utter a forbidden invocation, and three spectral angels manifest in unearthly silence within 15 feet of you. Each appears as a tall, hooded figure with vast, tattered wings and a different bladed weapon formed of supernatural force. The angels hover and move with you, remaining within 15 feet for the spell’s duration.
When the angels appear, and at the start of each of your turns thereafter, each angel targets one creature of your choice that you can see within 15 feet of you. A creature can be targeted by more than one angel. A targeted creature must make a Constitution saving throw.
On a failed save, the creature takes damage according to the angel that struck it. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.
-
Pale Angel (Scythe). 2d10 necrotic damage.
-
Veiled Angel (Sabers). 2d10 slashing damage. This damage is magical.
-
Crowned Angel (Greatsword). 2d10 force damage.
The angels are incorporeal and cannot be harmed, targeted, or physically interacted with.
If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points during a round in which it was damaged by all three angels, it remains standing until the end of your turn. A faint luminous seam appears along its form before it collapses lifelessly. This effect has no additional mechanical benefit.
At Higher Levels
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage dealt by each angel increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 3rd, to a maximum of 5d10 per angel.
