Bolstering Touch

You gently place a hand upon a creature and cause it to brace itself. The target regains a number of hit points equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier. The next time that the target takes damage, it is halved, and the target gains resistance to the type of damage it received until the end of its next turn.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The healing increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 1.
