Using a powdered compound, you can blow a hole through a wall.
Choose one surface you can touch. A wooden wall/ceiling/floor thinner than 1 foot, stone thinner than 6 inches, or metal thinner than 2 inches. After rubbing the powder mixture onto the surface and you are within 30 feet of the affected spot, as an action you can dramatically yell "Breach and clear!" and clap your hands. The wall will explode, creating an opening large enough for a medium creature to walk through.
The blast also creates a 10ft cone of shrapnel on the other side, originating from the wall. Any creature caught in this cone must make a Dexterity Saving Throw. They take 1d8 bludgeoning and 1d8 piercing damage on a fail, or half as much if they succeed. In addition, if combat is started immediately after blowing the wall any allies on your side of the wall who are prepared for the blast get advantage on their initiation rolls. Enemies who were caught unawares roll initiative with disadvantage.
At higher levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st, and the cone size increases by 5 feet.
