With a flick of your wrist, you fling acid at a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. Upon casting, you choose whether it is a loose blob or a concentrated dart.

On a hit, the blob will impact on the target, causing 2d4 Acid damage, or half as much on a miss. It will also explode in a 10ft radius, regardless of the initial projectile missing or hitting. Any creature in this radius must make a Dexterity Saving Throw against your spell save DC, taking 2d4 Acid damage on a fail, or none on a success.

A dart will stick into the target. On a hit, it will deal 3d4 Acid damage. In addition, the target much make a Constitution Saving Throw against your spell save DC at the end of each of it's turns, or take 1d4 Acid damage, ending on a successful save. On a miss, the target takes half the initial damage, and does not need to make a save.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the initial damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 2nd. Any secondary damage increase by 1d4 every 2 spell slot levels above 2nd.
