By slashing or cutting themselves or another creature, they draw forth blood to fuel their abilities. For every 8 ounces of blood used, they restore 8 hit points instead of 5. They can also condense this blood into vicious weapons—such as spears, swords, darts, or arrows—whose size and damage scale with the amount of blood invested. Weapons created from at least 16 ounces of blood count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity, and attacks made with them gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. If at least 32 ounces of blood are used, the weapon’s damage dice increase by one step (d6 → d8, d8 → d10, etc.), and the weapon deals an additional 1d6 necrotic damage on hit. At Blood Tier 2 in at least one hand, the additional necrotic damage becomes 2d6, and you can shape a weapon for each hand from the same blood source. At Blood Tier 3 in both hands, these blood weapons gain a further +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls (total +3), their damage dice increase by another step, and their attacks ignore resistance to necrotic damage and count as critical hits on a roll of 19–20.
