You open a gateway to the Far Realm, or some other dreadful plane, in front of you, from which several serrated tentacles emerge and lash out in a 30-foot Cone originating from you. Each creature in the cone makes a Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d8 Slashing damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one.
At the start of each of their turns until the spell ends, creatures that failed the Dexterity saving throw take Necrotic damage equal to twice their Constitution Modifier and then make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the spell continues. On a successful save, the spell ends.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The Slashing damage increases by 1d8 and the Necrotic damage increases by 1d4 for each spell slot level above 3.
