Warding Chains

With a string of key words followed by a clap of the hands, summon swirling animated chains of light around you. 

These chains help protect you from harm and offers melee range retaliation. 

• gives off normal light to 5 feet around you and dim light to an additional 10 feet.
• grants a bonus of 2 additional AC to the user until spell is expired.
• whenever an opponent within 10 feet of you attacks you explicitly, you roll a 1D4. the number rolled on it is force damage struck back at the opponent from the lashing chains around you upon their DEX save failure. (uses your spellcasting DC).
• this spell lasts for 1 minute until it expires or until you die, rendered unconscious, its forcibly extinguished, or you dismiss it before the 1-minute mark. 
• this spell offers +1 AC bonus and +1 retaliatory force damage for each level above first its cast.
