Aegis of Athena

You invoke Athena’s divine insight, manifesting a momentary shield of perfect understanding and divine strategy.

When a creature you can see within range is hit by an attack, you create a flash of radiant, owl-shaped force that intercepts the strike. The triggering attack is made with disadvantage, and if it still hits, the target gains a +2 bonus to AC against that attack’s damage resolution only (possibly reducing additional effects like rider damage or critical amplification at DM discretion).

Until the start of your next turn, the protected creature also gains:

• +1 bonus to AC
• Advantage on the next Intelligence or Wisdom saving throw it makes

At Higher Levels

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can choose one additional creature within range to gain the spell’s benefits for the same triggering attack.

For each slot level above 2nd, you may protect one additional creature.
