Conjure Inner Elemental

This spell will only work for a Genasi.  Any other race fails when attempting to cast this spell.  This spell conjures a copy of yourself in the nearest unoccupied space, with temporary copies of all your gear.  This copy is a temporary separation of the elemental heritage from the caster, making it an elemental of the same subtype as you.  As an additional cost to conjure up this part of yourself, you (not your copy) lose the abilities associated with your subrace, not including ability score increases until the copy is recalled.  You also lose half of your maximum health.  Until the copy is returned to you, neither you or the copy have access to any spell slots.

The copy starts with half of your maximum health, and its stats and gear all match yours.  It has access to your racial abilities, and has the same class abilities as you do.  However, neither you or the copy can cast spells requiring spell slots while you are separated.  The copy acts on your initiative, however it has its own action, bonus action, reaction and movement.

Any weapon damage your copy deals changes type depending on your heritage.  For Air Genasi, the copy deals thunder damage.  For Earth Genasi, the copy deals bludgeoning damage.  For Fire Genasi, the copy deals fire damage.  For Water Genasi, the copy deals cold damage.  All damage done by the copy counts as magical to overcome resistance.

You can recall the copy as a bonus action at any time before the spell ends.  Any HP up to your maximum are healed from the copy's leftover HP.  If the copy drops to 0 HP, you take force damage equal to that which kills the copy as it's energy forcibly returns to your body.
