Choose one creature you can see within range. The effect depends on its disposition toward you or your allies:

• Ally (friendly creature to you or your allies): The target regains hit points equal to 1d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier.
• Enemy (hostile creature toward you or your allies): The target takes 1d8 radiant damage.
