You touch your quiver or crossbow bolt case containing arrows or bolts. the resulting effect is that when a target is successfully hit by a arrow or bolt from a bow weapon attack or a crossbow weapon attack using a piece of ammunition drawn from that quiver or crossbow bolt case, two things happen:
1) The target takes (1d12 + your spellcasting modifier) Acid damage instead of the normal damage.
2) The target rolls a 1d20, on a 10 or lower roll of that 1d20 roll, the target is poisoned until your next turn.
Note: The spell’s magic ends on the piece of ammunition when it hits or misses, and the spell ends when twelve pieces of ammunition have been drawn from your quiver. also, this spell, for example, turns arrows temporarily into arrows that are acidic when launched from a weapon.
At Higher Character Levels. The ranged 1d12 damage is increased by 1 die at character levels 3 (2d12), 5 (3d12), 7 (4d12), 9 (5d12), 11 (6d12), 13 (7d12), 15 (8d12), 17 (9d12), and 19 (10d12).
