Breakdown

The protective shells, scales, and hides they hide behind will defend them no longer.

Target creature makes a Constitution saving throw. If they fail remove a Resistance from that target for the duration of this spell. If the target has multiple Resistances you may choose one that you have knowledge of. If you have no knowledge of it's Resistances you may call a damage type (i.e. Fire Damage) to try to remove a Resistance, if your target has that resistance it will be removed. If the target has no resistances to remove or you fail to call a resistance it has this spell fails.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot 4th level or higher, you may choose one more Resistance to remove for each spell slot above 4th.
