You point to a location within 100 feet. A black sun 10 feet in diameter appears 15 feet above the surface, circling slowly and emitting languid bursts of dark energy. Any creature within a 60 foot radius of the sphere with an intelligence above 5 must make a wisdom save (caster DC). On a failed save the creature is enthralled and must use the dash action on its turn to move as close to the sphere as its full movement allows. On a successful save the creature is rooted in place but can use its action normally.
At the start of the caster's next turn the black sun explodes, dealing cold and necrotic damage in proportion to its distance from the sphere:
0-15 feet: 5d8 cold, 5d8 necrotic
16-30 feet: 4d8 cold, 4d8 necrotic
31-45 feet: 3d8 cold, 3d8 necrotic
46-60 feet: 2d8 cold, 2d8 necrotic
"Mama always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun. But Mama, that's where the fun is."
