When you cast this spell, choose a point within 5 feet. A dome of magical darkness with a radius of 30 feet surrounds this point. It is affected by terrain and conforms to whatever space is available. No light can pass through the perimeter of this dome unless created using the Daylight or Wish spell but a light source inside the dome can continue to illuminate this space as it would normally.
When this dome is formed, a secondary illusion hovers 5 feet off the ground, filling the space above the chosen point. This illusion gives off dim light which fills the dome and it displays the contents of the night sky in brilliant detail. As an action, this illusion can be expanded, stretched, and even shaped to fill the entirety of the dome. Celestial objects that would be visible from your location with the aid of a telescope can be expanded for better view, though this spell cannot expand any body that exists beyond the confines of your planet's solar system.
