Gale force gathers at the edge of your blade as you enter a stance, which may then be released as lethal slices of winds. This is a Rare Mantra, therefore it cannot be learnt through conventional means, and one must possess an item that grants them knowledge of it, or alternatively be taught the mantra by someone who is very proficient with it.

This maneuver grants the caster's held bladed weapon Wind Charges as they enter a stance where their weapon is raised moderately high (Such as that of a batter's stance, Ox Guard, or Vom Dach, etc...) as an action,  which can then be expended as a free action to empower their attacks with wind slices. Up to a maximum of {{proficiency}} charges can be stored or gained, each charge equates to a dice.

Cosmetically, the caster can choose to either send out one large concentrated slash, or multiple, smaller slashes of gale, but their damage will always total to 1d4 Wind Slashing (For one Wind Charge); those slashes can reach up to 60 FT, and damage every entities or objects that are in their course of travel, which would be a 60 FT long 5 FT wide line AOE. Entities that aren't the main target of the attack(s) used to send out the wind blades can make a Dexterity Saving throw to avoid it, taking only half the damage on a success. The travelling distance of the wind slashes are the caster's choice; moreover, they may turn the Line AOE into a short ranged Spherical AOE akin to that of Wind Carve. Since the damage of the slashes is Wind Slashing, it is affected by both Wind and Slashing or Physical and Magical Physical damage resistances or immunities.

Core, Wind-cloaked, this mantra inflicts 2d4 Potency of Winded for {{proficiency}} turns and 2d4 Counts of Lightened upon dealing damage; Winded potency is capped at 4, while Lightened Counts are capped at 10, which is the maximum duration for it. 

  • Winded places a penalty on multi-attacks or extra attacks, therefore decreasing the to-hit roll of those extra attacks by an amount equal to the potency of Winded presents. Cosmetically, gale force slows down the attacks of those affected by the Winded Elemental effect. EG. attacks made using the Extra Attack feature or Multi-attacks feature will be decreased by 4 if the attacker has 4 Potency of Winded on them. 
  • Lightened increases knockback received by 25% (and therefore increasing impact damage received) but increase speed by 10 FT.

At higher levels, the dice faces of this maneuver's damage dice is increased to a d6 when you reach 5th Level, and a d8 when you reach 11th Level, and a d10 when you reach 17 Level. Its ether/ mana cost is also increased by 10 for each Level scaling, and has a base ether/mana cost of 20.


 This cantrip has the Elemental tag and is affected by Absorb Elements or other effects that interact with Element-based phenomenon. Absorb Elements damage is Wind.
