Spell Description
You open yourself to the Seidr Nexus and invite an ancestral spirit — a warrior, guardian, or primal echo of your lineage — to merge with your body. Runic light floods your limbs as the spirit overlays your form, moving in perfect harmony with you. Your voice deepens with layered resonance, your silhouette flickers with soul‑light, and your strikes carry the weight of generations.
Effects
Ancestral Merge
For the duration, you become a host for an ancestral spirit. You gain the following benefits:
-
+2 bonus to AC
-
Resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage
-
Advantage on attack rolls
-
Advantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws
-
Your movement speed increases by 10 feet
Your body glows with faint runes matching your Hiddenfolk lineage.
Empowered Strikes
Your melee and ranged weapon attacks deal an additional:
-
1d8 radiant damage, or
-
1d8 psychic damage
You choose the type when you cast the spell.
If you are a Hiddenfolk in your beastial form, the bonus damage increases to 2d8.
Ancestral Surge (1/turn)
Once per turn when you hit a creature with an attack, you may unleash a burst of ancestral force.
The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or suffer one of the following effects (your choice):
-
Frightened of you until the end of your next turn
-
Pushed 10 feet in a direction you choose
-
Stunned until the start of your next turn (only if the creature is CR equal to or lower than your level)
This represents the spirit’s will striking through you.
Shared Vitality
If you would be reduced to 0 hit points while the spell is active, the ancestral spirit absorbs the blow.
You instead drop to 1 hit point, and the spell ends immediately.
This effect can only occur once per casting.
At Higher Levels
When cast using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the bonus damage from Empowered Strikes increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.
