Black Flash. There are moments in battle where time does not behave as it should. A strike lands—but not simply with strength. It lands within a fraction of a second so precise that the very space around it distorts. For an instant, reality lags behind the impact, and a black spark tears through the air.
When this happens, the attack exceeds its limits.
🎲 Roll +2d6. This is the first rupture—the moment space bends under your strike.
But a true Black Flash is not just a single impact. It is control. It is the ability to guide that distortion again before it fades.
You push further.
🎲 Roll a DEX saving throw (DC 10).
If you succeed, the energy holds. The distortion hasn’t collapsed. You move again, faster than the world can follow.
🎲 Roll another +2d6.
The strain increases. The margin for error narrows.
🎲 Roll another DEX saving throw (DC 12).
If you succeed again, you are no longer just attacking—you are inside the flow. Every motion aligns perfectly, every strike tearing through space just as the last one did. This is the beginning of achieving total flow state.
🎲 Roll another +2d6.
The pressure builds. Your control is all that holds it together.
🎲 Roll another DEX saving throw (DC 14)… and continue, the DC increases by 2 each time.
But the moment your control slips—when even a single movement falls out of sync—the distortion collapses instantly. The black spark vanishes. The chain ends.
If you fail, the energy recoils through your body as reality snaps back into place.
🎲 Take 1d4 force damage.
And yet, if you manage to hold it—if you chain three or more perfect strikes—you begin to understand it. Not just the power, but the rhythm behind it. Your perception sharpens, your movements become clearer. For a brief moment, you are fighting ahead of reality itself, a state so overwhelming that it could annihilate almost anything it touches with the sole exception of Satoru Gojo of course.
